The Design Process - Getting Started

1. Initial Consultation and Goal Setting

We will have an initial meeting at your home site to define the project scope, aesthetic preferences, functional needs and your budget.

2. Site Inventory and Analysis

I will provide a thorough assessment of your current property including taking measurements, mapping existing features (such as trees or utilities) evaluating soil quality, drainage, and sun/shade patterns.

3. Conceptual Draft

I will provide you with a questionnaire to help KamScape further identify your desires for your homes exterior space which will assist me in laying out the major “rooms” or zones, such as sun/shade patio areas, outdoor kitchens, dinning and lounge areas, and pathways to connect those zones in a functional and aesthetically please manner.

4. The Design

I will prepare a high-quality custom Color 3D Landscape Design Rendering, providing you with an immersive “preview” that will show you exactly how the space will look, feel, and fit. I will also prepare a CAD Drawing which will be a two-dimensional technical drawing. It will serve as a “blueprint” for your contractors to reference throughout the construction phase of the project.

5. Getting Started

Service Level:

I will identify what level of service and the associated fee based on the scope and complexity of the project.

Deposit:

I will ask for an initial deposit with the rest of the fee due upon completion and presentation of the design.
